Soren Kierkegaard once wrote

the thinker without a paradox is like a lover without feeling: a paltry mediocrity.

thinking/marketing believes in thinking over marketing.  Spectacular marketing is rarely “look what I pulled out of my #$#” marketing; it is contemplative and deliberate, and it is done by those with the capacity to think deeply, and well.

We approach marketing from the triangle foundation of

  • Mindfulness
  • Mathematics*
  • Methodology

which, expressed in more syllables, means

  • We think very deeply about problems before providing solutions
  • We like to use quantitative approaches whenever we can
  • Our problem-solving, and the solutions we provide, follows a process

thinking/marketing is not the partner for every client.  We won’t work with clients who

  • are too busy to give pause and breathe
  • aren’t thoughtful and kind
  • call us names like “doody-head” or “poopy-face” like, for serious (it’s okay if it’s for fakes)

But we do work with some really smart, funny, with-it clients.  And perhaps someday we’ll work with you.

* We understand that mathematics, technically, involves very conceptual challenges like the rotation of n-dimensional objects in m-dimensional space using a motion path that, like, minimizes the coefficient of yaddi yaddi yadda.  But we like m+m+m therefore  QED EOM TTYL.
